Abortion in Military Hospitals

On May 27th, the Senate Armed Services Committee passed an amendment to the annual National Defense Authorization bill which would allow abortions to be conducted at military hospitals. Senator Collins, although a member of the committee, did not vote on this particular motion.
According to Cecil Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, “It’s the [...]

Bozell Column: Bigotry Central

Brent Bozell of Media Research Center and NewsBusters documents Comedy Central’s ceaseless assault on the Catholic Church… The same cable network that worked itself up into an ideological lather resulting in the scrubbing of any reference to Mohammed in the irreverent cartoon “South Park” does not seem the least bit concerned about offending Catholics. Many are aware that the Maine Democratic Party has, for quite some time, been the party of abortion. At the recent party convention in Portland, the following was added to the 2010 Party Platform:

Military Archbishop: "Don’t repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’"

Interesting letter regarding the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy from the Archbishop for Military Services:
“In a response to a request from the Chiefs of Chaplains of the Armed Forces I communicated some considerations and concerns regarding the proposal to change the existing legislation regarding persons with a homosexual orientation in the [...]
